The common vulcanization process in the silicone wire and cable market is double 24 vulcanization, and the application of double 24 vulcanization in silicone wire and cable products is more common. With the improvement of environmental protection requirements, the double 24 vulcanizing agent has been unable to meet the requirements. Discussion On Platinum Vulcanization Process of Silicone Wire and Cable


Both double 24 and platinum vulcanizing agents are vulcanizing agents for silicone rubber wire extrusion. Due to its low cost and mature technology, double 24 is widely used in the production of wire rods. However, the decomposition temperature of the bis-2-tetra vulcanizing agent is low, and the scorch performance is not good, so the dosage needs to be controlled in a small amount. The decomposition products of bis-ditetra-vulcanizing agent have certain harmfulness.

For platinum vulcanization, one vulcanization can be achieved during the production of wire rods, so that the molecules can be fully cross-linked. The platinum vulcanized silicone wire produced does not produce peculiar smell, and can pass various strict tests such as EU ROHS, US FDA, and German LMBG food grade certification.    

Platinum vulcanization molding has fast vulcanization speed, low molding temperature, and excellent physical properties of the molded product. Dimensional stability, low shrinkage, product tensile strength. Tear strength and resilience are greatly improved.

After experimental research and development, Zhongzhen New Energy has now mass-produced some silicone wires (extra soft silicone wire - 10AWG, etc.), and the products are still being continuously upgraded and improved.
